Blockchain has emerged as an innovative technology within logistics industry, offering solutions to long-standing challenges such as data fragmentation, fraud, traceability gaps and lack of trust among stakeholders. Even though numerous efforts have been put into introducing new technological innovations into the industry, economic uncertainties and structural instability always hinder facilitating such efforts due to strategic considerations for logistics firms worldwide. Using a systematic literature review approach aligned with PRISMA framework, this study is conducted to identify key drivers, barriers and readiness factors for blockchain adoption globally and locally.
